From the BBc News site this morning...

Quote:

Drinking alcohol can not only ease the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis it appears to reduce disease severity too, research suggests.

Thanks for posting this link Jo.

See now I have virtually given up drinking for obv reasons - maybe I should stock up with red wine and just enjoy myself!

Hope you are well.

Hiya Nina,

I don't drink that often, but do enjoy it when i do and I'm sure it's had a positive effect.

Only downside of reports like this are that people who are in a great deal of pain might overindulge in the alcohol, which is never a good thing.

I think depending on meds, a wee drinky now and then is a nice thing :)

I'm good ty Nina, especially now that my neighbours have gone, it's so lovely and quiet here now, no doors slamming or being kicked in, no pounding around and arguments/music.. it's bliss!!

Hope you and the family are well :)

Jo.

Hi Jo
I was going to answer this at 8 o clock this morning but needed to finish my bottle of wine firstRollEyes
when we went to a Christmas meal with the pta I had one glass of wine I managed to walk out of my shoe got home shouting at Richard I had damaged my-self and he dident care (Richard had to walk up the road to find my shoe) I was in bed most of the next day with a very bad hang-over
so I dont think the drink would do me any good
I know I am one sad person but the good news is I am one cheep dateThumpUp

I'm busy working on a cure.

They tell us something like that, and then give us drugs that we are not allowed to drink with! Mad!
